Big Brother Slot Machine

Big Brother is a 5-reel, 3-row video slot game with 25 pay lines. Prizes are awarded from left to right and only the highest possible prize per line is paid to the player. The game also features Bronze, Silver,.

Big Brother is a reality game show which first aired on UK television back in 2000 and despite a sharp fall in ratings over the last few years it is still being produced. The Big Brother TV show began airing on Channel 4 where Davina McCall hosted it for a decade, however Channel 5 then acquired the rights and it began airing there in 2011 until present with various hosts. Currently it is Emma Willis who presents, with long standing narrator Marcus Bentley still providing a voice over on what is going on in the house – but unfortunately none of these people feature on the reels!

The show sees a strangers put into a house for a number of weeks with their every move recorded on camera. Each week there are tasks to complete and they then nominate others for eviction, with those with the most votes going up for nomination and the public deciding who should go.

94.63% RTP and Range of Stakes…

With a structure of 5 reels and 25 paylines, Big Brother offers a return to player percentage of 94.63% which is a little lower than the majority of Endemol online slots. It does cater to players of all bankroll management levels though with a the minimum bet per line beginning at £0.01 and going up to £5, thus enabling all of the paylines to be played for £0.25 up to £125 each and every spin.

The famous Big Brother eye logo is the main symbol to watch out for on the reels as is has the ability to substitute for any others except for the Scatter, and when it is part of winning slot combinations the win is doubled. The Scatter is the Button that grants contestants access to the famous Diary Room where they usually moan about those they are stuck in the house with and also have to nominate in.

The rest of the symbols designed by Endemol are pretty generic with a camera, hot tub, banners representing the crowd on eviction nights, a photographer’s camera, contestants kissing, contestants arguing, a contestant whispering to another (lots of gossiping occurs on the show), an ‘Extra, Extra!’ icon symbolising a tabloid headline, plus these are all joined by the lowest value symbols of all – A, K, Q, and J.

I think icons of some contestants could have been used to spice things up – particularly in place of the A, K, Q and J letters. Perhaps Craig Phillips who was the first ever winner of the game show or Sophie Reade who won the tenth series – she is always great to look at after all!

Housemate Task Bonus

The Housemate Task Bonus feature can begin when you land three or more Scatter symbols (either this or the Hunt feature will randomly start). This sees you presented with a 3x3 grid (similar to the bonus feature in the Countdown slot machine) with each position holding an envelope full of cash. You get the opportunity to select three of the nine envelopes, with the cash prizes contained in each added together and awarded to you.

Housemate Hunt Bonus

As with the Housemate Task Bonus, The Housemate Hunt Bonus can only be triggered by landing three or more Scatter symbols. It is a free spins feature and where I found the biggest wins to come from the Big Brother slot machine. You begin by viewing a 3D layout of the house (reminiscent of graphics found in 3D slots online) with six rooms to select from. Your job is to select three of the rooms with blue housemates representing males and pink housemates representing females.

Every male housemate you find increases your free spins count by one, while every female housemate found sees your multiplier bonus increase by one. While it isn’t the most interactive of features I really enjoyed it – it’s more exciting than just having ‘x’ number of spins revealed. I managed to acquire 6 free spins with a 5x multiplier for a pretty nice win!

Time to Evict?

Big City 5's Slot Machine

The popularity of Big Brother has rapidly declined over the last few years but those of you out there who still enjoy it will definitely have fun playing the Big Brother slot machine from Endemol – another in their long line of game show slots. I was disappointed with no presenters or contestants featuring on the reels, but the sounds are authentic.

I quite enjoyed the free spins mode (as you can get lots of free spins before it ends) but with the vast number of tasks which housemates have completed over the years I can’t help but think Endemol could have done more to increase the interaction players have – rather than just clicking.
